PHOENIX — For the eighth straight year, some travelers at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will be able to get their holiday gifts wrapped for free while they wait for a flight.
Heather Lissner with the airport said the complimentary wrapping service will be offered for three days to fliers inside Terminal 4.
“We have free gift-wrapping after you get through security,” she said.

The service will be offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday at areas near the A, B and C security checkpoints.
On Thursday and Friday, wrappers will be on duty from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Saturday, the airport sends its elves home early, so the stations will only be open from 9 a.m. to noon.
Lissner said the airport offers the free gift wrapping because the Transportation Security Administration encourages fliers to leave carry-on gifts unwrapped in case bags need to be searched.
Lissner said travelers can also take advantage of the gift-wrapping service if they need to buy a last-minute gift inside one of the airport’s shops or kiosks.
About 567,000 Arizonans are expected to fly in the same skies as Santa this year when they jump on a plane to celebrate the holidays elsewhere.
