Man dead after being shot at apartment complex in Phoenix

A shooting in Phoenix left a man dead on Monday morning, police said.

The incident took place at an apartment complex near 16th and Colter streets, north of Camelback Road, around 12:40 a.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Responding officers found the victim, who was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead. He was identified later as 58-year-old Donald Mucheck.

Homicide detectives are investigating the case.
