Phoenix police saves abandoned kittens who were doused with gasoline

PHOENIX — Two kittens have a new lease on life thanks to some swift and heroic action from the Phoenix Police Department.

Officers Bagnall and Friday rescued the kittens from the area of 35th and Dunlap avenues in northwest Phoenix on Sunday, according to a post on the department’s Twitter page.

The kittens had been doused with gasoline and thrown out of a plastic bag, the department said.

There’s more good news for the rescued kittens — they are now receiving care at the Arizona Humane Society.

No information was immediately available about a potential suspect in the abandonment of the kittens.
