Phoenix police officer accused of solicitation of prostitution

PHOENIX – A Phoenix police officer was arrested Sunday for allegedly soliciting sexual activity, authorities said.
Michael Martinez, 30, was booked into Maricopa County Jail on one count of solicitation of prostitution, the Phoenix Police Department said.
There is no evidence that Martinez was involved in an sex acts while on duty or in a patrol vehicle, police said.
The department is conducting an administrative investigation. Police said Martinez would be assigned to his home after his release from jail.
No other details were immediately available.
