Phoenix police arrest man accused of shooting, killing brother

PHOENIX — A man accused of shooting and killing his older brother in Phoenix Sunday night was taken into custody, authorities said.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 7:30 p.m. near 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road.

When police arrived, they found Armando Carrillo, 46, who was shot several times and later pronounced dead, authorities said.

While at the scene, officers were told the suspect in the shooting fled and was the victim’s brother, later identified as Daniel Carrillo, 42, authorities said.

When Carrillo was located in the area, he was taken into custody and booked on one homicide charge.
