Homicide investigation underway after man found dead in central Phoenix

The Phoenix Police Department has launched an investigation after 48-year-old Larry Anderson was found dead with signs of trauma on Tuesday.

PHOENIX — A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead in central Phoenix on Tuesday, authorities said.

Around 7:15 a.m., officers responded to an unknown trouble call near First Street and McDowell Road and found a man, identified as 48-year-old Larry Anderson, who had suffered traumatic injuries, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Anderson died at the scene.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.

No other details were released.

Anyone with information on Anderson’s death is asked to call the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151.

Additionally, anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) for Spanish. Tips that lead to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward.
