PHOENIX — A Phoenix hotel offers music fans a unique feature.

Guests at the Camby Hotel on Camelback Road and 24th Street have 50 vinyl records from which to pick. The selection includes everything from the Beatles to Prince, and even some local bands such as Jimmy Eat World.

It’s all part of the hotel’s check in, jam out lending program.

Larry Colton, chief marketing officer for the hotel, said guests can borrow a Gretsch guitar — they have two available. The hotel also has three turntables and headphones available for guest use.

“It has been extremely successful,” Colton said of the lending program. “Seldom are guitars, LPs or turntables even available.”

The Camby partnered with Fender to get the guitars and with Zia Records to offer turntables and vinyl records to hotel guests.

Colton said bringing a touch of music to the Camby was a natural fit given the hotel has hosted a number of artists and musical events since opening in December 2015.

A few other hotels in the Valley offer similar lending programs. The MOXY in Tempe allows guests to check out acoustic guitars, record players and vinyl records.
