PHOENIX — If you’re looking for a new burger spot in the Valley to try this weekend, good news: A Phoenix-area burger joint was named one of the top burger places in the country.

The Stand was listed by Thrillist on Tuesday as one of the 31 best places to get a burger in the nation. It was the only Arizona eatery to make the cut.

The Stand has two Arizona locations. One in Arcadia near Indian School Road and 36th Street and the other in Scottsdale on Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard.

The Arcadia location is “no funny business” when it comes to its food menu which consists only of burgers and fries. It features its famous Standard Burger, which is your normal burger with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and onion, but it also comes with the restaurant’s signature Stand Sauce.

You can also add jalapenos, bacon and caramelized onions to your order.

While the Arcadia menu is pretty straightforward, its Scottsdale counterpart also specializes in other foods — most notably, tacos. They have al pastor and short rib choices available as well as classic chicken and vegetarian options.

Hand-spun shakes and specialty drinks, such as horchata, were available at both locations.

If you go to the Scottsdale location you can also get beer, wine and cocktails too.
