Phoenix area named No. 77 most educated nationwide
Metro Phoenix landed in the middle of the pack in a personal finance website's ranking of the most educated cities in the country.

PHOENIX — Metro Phoenix landed in the middle of the pack in a personal finance website’s ranking of the most educated cities in the country.
WalletHub ranked the Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale region as the 77th most educated among the 150 largest metro areas.
Phoenix received a total score of 52.06 out of 100.
Scores were given based on 11 metrics and two main dimensions including “educational attainment” and “quality of education and attainment gap.”
Despite being right in the middle of the pack, the Phoenix area did not rank within the top-5 best or worst of any category.
Tucson, the only other Arizona region on the list, beat out Phoenix by coming in 61st in the rankings with a score of 54.87.
Ann Arbor, Michigan, was give the top spot with a total score of 94.02 while Visalia-Porterville, California, was ranked last with a score of 8.31.
