Phoenix area marks chilly temperatures ahead of Christmas
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas here in the Valley, which saw temperatures ranging from the high 20s to the low 40s on Friday morning.

PHOENIX — It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas here in the Valley.
For the first time this season, the Valley saw temperatures ranging from the high 20s to the low 40s on Friday morning, the National Weather Service said.
According to the department, Phoenix reached 36 degrees Fahrenheit, while Deer Valley saw 34 degrees and Mesa and Goodyear only reached 28 degrees.

Needless to say, residents were not prepared to see their breaths when they woke up on Friday.

But the Phoenix area isn’t expected to see cold for long: Phoenix was forecast to see high temperatures in the 60s on Friday and Saturday, before creeping up to the mid-70s on Christmas Day.
