West Valley police ask for help identifying persons of interest in assault at large party

Surprise police are asking the public to help identify several persons of interest after a teenager was assaulted by multiple individuals at a large, unsupervised party earlier this month.

PHOENIX — Surprise police are asking the public to help identify several persons of interest after a teenager was assaulted by multiple individuals at a large, unsupervised party earlier this month. 

The gathering near Sarival Avenue and Greenway Road had been advertised across social media, drawing a crowd of strangers to the April 4 event, according to police

Anyone with information, such as photos or videos, regarding the incident is asked to contact the Surprise Police Department at 623-222-4000 or 623-222-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can also able to email crimetips@surpriseaz.gov.

The department asked that those who reach out reference incident #260400178.

After teen assault, West Valley police issue warning to parents and teens

Police advised parents and guardians to always ask their teens where they’re going, who they’ll be with and whether adults will be present.

Authorities added that parents should always encourage their children to leave situations they feel are unsafe or beginning to escalate.
