Police identify pedestrian fatally struck by car in Phoenix
A pedestrian is dead after they were hit by a vehicle in Phoenix on Saturday morning, authorities said.

PHOENIX — Police on Wednesday released the identity of a man who died in a collision last week in Phoenix.
Jose Franco, 49, died from injuries that were sustained from the accident, according to a Phoenix Police Department announcement.
Details on accident that killed pedestrian
Around 12:30 a.m., police responded to a collision near 43rd Avenue and Earll Drive, police said.
Upon arrival, officers found a man on the road with injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
During their investigation, authorities said the man was outside of a crosswalk when crossing 43rd Avenue when he was hit by an SUV that was driving northbound.
Investigators said impairment was not a factor in this collision.
