Pedestrian dead after getting hit by vehicle in Scottsdale

A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle in Scottsdale on Saturday morning, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle in Scottsdale on Saturday morning, authorities said.

The collision occurred on a roadway near Scottsdale Road and Fanfol Drive, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

The pedestrian died at the scene of the crash. Authorities said the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when the crash occurred.

Police added the driver was not impaired and speed was not a factor in the crash.

Road closure following Scottsdale collision

Southbound Scottsdale Road closed at Mountain View Road due to the crash. The roadway was closed for several hours before reopening around 11:40 a.m.
