One Hundred Mill in Tempe, Ariz. to include 15-story Kimpton luxury hotel

PHOENIX — Tempe, Arizona, will soon be home to a brand-new, 15-story luxury hotel, according to the Phoenix Business Journal.
The Tempe Kimpton hotel will be located on the corner of Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway, the former home to Monti’s La Casa Vieja.
The 237-room hotel will be a part of One Hundred Mill, a $190 million mixed-use development project consisting of twin office and hotel towers.
It will feature 12,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, a 4,750-square-foot rooftop pool and terrace lounge, a fitness center and a full-service restaurant and bar menu.
Kimpton CEO Mike DeFrino said while the name for the hotel has not been established yet, whichever name they will choose will reflect the community in a positive manner.
“What we ultimately land on will suit the personality and culture of the surrounding neighborhood and community,” he said. “Location has always been a strong influence in developing our brand identity, design and style.”
The hotel is scheduled to break ground in November of this year and will take about two years to complete.
