PHOENIX – One man was killed in Phoenix after a rear end collision led to a Jeep catching fire, authorities said Saturday morning.

Phoenix police officers responded to a crash around 4:50 a.m. near 51st Avenue and Fillmore Street.

The victim of the Jeep was pronounced dead on the scene and has not been identified.

The three passengers and 17-year-old suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police said “it is believed speed and impairment” could have been factors in this crash.

This is an ongoing investigation.
