PHOENIX — From this year’s Super Bowl to the Final Four in 2017, Arizona is in the middle of a 3 year sports championship run.

In 2016, the College Playoff Football Championship will be in the Valley and officials said they need volunteers.

Win Holden, Arizona Organizing Committee co-chair, said the organization needs approximately 2,000 volunteers for the National Championship Game in January 2016.

“What we need to do is identify about 2,000 enthusiastic Arizonans who are interested in helping to make the 2016 National Championship Game a memorable experience,” he said.

Volunteers would work various shifts at events during the week of game day, including Playoff Playlist Live, Playoff Fan Central and a Taste of the Championship, Holden said.

Officials said they are also looking for drivers to escort staff for the team, ESPN and CPF and greeters for areas such as airports and hotels.

Volunteers will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. To apply, visit here.
