Northbound State Route 51 reopens in Phoenix after law enforcement activity

PHOENIX — The northbound lanes of State Route 51 reopened after law enforcement activity Tuesday near Highland Avenue and Indian School Road, transportation officials said.
The Highland Avenue closure went into effect around 6:45 p.m., the Arizona Department of Transportation said. The Indian School Road closure went into effect around 7:30 p.m.
Both closures were lifted around 8:20 p.m.
Drivers were advised to expect delays.
The southbound lanes were unaffected.
