New tiger exhibit debuts at Wildlife World Zoo

PHOENIX — A new tiger exhibit is now open for the public’s viewing at the Wildlife World Zoo in Litchfield Park.

The new exhibit, which opened Tuesday, features two spacy areas with large windows for guests to look at the tigers. Each area features waterfalls and pools along with trees for shade.

The Wildlife World Zoo, located on the southeast corner of State Route 303 and Northern Avenue, is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the aquarium portion of the park open until 7 p.m.

More additions at Wildlife World Zoo

The tiger exhibit isn’t the only new addition at the zoo. Two New Guinea singing dogs, Whiskey and Bailey, are now part of the zoo. A rare animal from Papua New Guinea, the singing dogs have goldish, red and tan fur with white markings. The dogs have a singing voice with a yodel-like yelp similar to a wolf. The dogs can also whine, bark and scream.

Along with the new singing dogs, guests can also see other animals at the zoo, including baby squirrel monkeys, a colobus monkey, spider monkeys and an olive, baboon along with a new jellyfish exhibit. 

How much are tickets at Wildlife World Zoo?

An adult ticket at the zoo costs $52, while tickets for children aged 3-12 are $29. Children 2 and under have free admission to the park.
