New specialty license plates include Arizona Coyotes, Marines
Sales from the latest batch of specialty Arizona license plates released will benefit the Arizona Coyotes' charities, scholarships to military families and firefighter safety training.
PHOENIX — Sales from the latest batch of specialty Arizona license plates released will benefit the Arizona Coyotes’ charities, scholarships to military families and firefighter safety training.
“We are very excited that Coyotes license plates are finally available in Arizona,” team co-owner and CEO Anthony LeBlanc said in a statement.
The Arizona Coyotes Foundation help nonprofit groups dedicated to children and service men and women.
Money raised through the U.S. Marines’ plate will go toward scholarships for the children of Marines and Navy corpsmen killed or wounded in combat.
The Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division said the Marines’ plate will also be available for motorcycles and golf carts.
Firefighters in the state will receive scholarships for life safety training with the funding from that plate.
Money from the sales of Midwestern University plates will be directed toward scholarships for the study of health sciences.
The annual fee for a personalized plate is $50 with $17 going to the charities. That does not include $25 for a specialized plate.
Classic car plates will also be available for personalization.
