PHOENIX — A new gourmet dessert shop and ice cream parlor made its debut in Scottsdale this week.
Sweet Provisions opened Wednesday. The shop serves house-made treats from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Some specialty ice cream flavors on the menu include Georgia peach pie, triple-shot coffee and candied bacon.
Customers can also build their own ice cream sandwiches with fresh-baked cookies and select from 30 types of new- and old-school candy flavors.
The shop near Hayden Road and Via de Ventura is a part of the Valley-based restaurant management group, Common Ground Culinary. Restaurateur Christopher Collins founded the company in 2011.
The restaurant management group is a collection of neighborhood restaurants headed by Collins.
According to a press release, Sweet Provisions is Collins’ first dessert shop in his chain.
Other established restaurants in his group include Grassroots Kitchen & Tap, Twisted Grove Parlor + Bar and Wally’s American Gastropub.
