PHOENIX — Chandler City Council approves a construction agreement that will allow for improvements to Brooks Crossing Park.

Developed in 1986, Brooks Crossing Park is an over eight acre park located at 1345 W. Calle del Norte in Chandler. It serves residents in areas bordered by Warner, Alma School, Ray and Dobson roads.

Areas to the park include a basketball court, a playground, walking paths, a sand volleyball court and open space.

What improvements will be coming to Brooks Crossing Park?

The park will see improvements to lighting using LED lights, replacement of play equipment, more shade structures, exercise stations, site furnishings, a pickleball court, concrete walkways and landscape and irrigation renovations, according to the news release.

Community surveys and two virtual meetings were held in May and August 2022 to see how nearby residents use the park and what improvements residents would like to see, according to a news release.

Feedback from the meetings suggested that the residents who use this park preferred that the sand volleyball court be removed and replaced with a pickleball court, according to a news release.
