Need an unmarked early ballot for Arizona primary? You better act fast

PHOENIX – If you marked your ballot for Elizabeth Warren, or some other candidate who has since bowed out of the race, but haven’t yet turned it in, your vote isn’t wasted – yet.

Anybody who mailed in or dropped off an early ballot for the March 17 Democratic presidential preference election can no longer change their vote. So if you already voted for somebody other than Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden, you’re probably feeling regret.

But if you filled in a ballot and haven’t submitted it, you can order a new one. But you have to act fast, because 5 p.m. Friday is the deadline to request a replacement.

It’s also the last chance to get an early ballot if you haven’t received one.

Maricopa County residents can make their requests at Request.Maricopa.Vote. Voters in other parts of the state should check with their county recorder’s office.

If you miss the deadline to get a new ballot and haven’t submitted one, you can still vote in person at a polling place.

For those who do vote by mail, ballots must get to the election department by 7 p.m. Election Day. Authorities are advising to send them in by March 11 to ensure they arrive in time to count.
