My Chemical Romance adds Phoenix stadium show to ‘Black Parade 2026 Tour’

PHOENIX – Alternative rock band My Chemical Romance is marching into Arizona next year for the first time in nearly two decades.

The “Black Parade 2026 Tour” will stop at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix on Sept. 6, with hometown heroes Jimmy Eat World opening the show.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday at noon Arizona time through Ticketmaster.

My Chemical Romance hasn’t performed in the Grand Canyon State since March 2008, when the group took the stage in Tempe and Tucson on back-to-back nights, according to setlist.fm.

My Chemical Romance celebrating 20th anniversary of ‘The Black Parade’

The New Jersey band launched a 20th anniversary stadium tour for its landmark “The Black Parade” album in July of this year. The “Long Live: The Black Parade Tour” concluded Saturday in Atlanta.

The 2026 world tour starts in South America in January and heads to Mexico, Asia and Europe before returning to the United States in August.

Fronted by theatrical singer Gerard Way, MCR built a large, devoted audience with just four studio albums, the last of which came out in 2010.

“The Black Parade,” the band’s third album, was released in 2016 and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. It featured MCR’s highest charting single, the anthemic “Welcome to the Black Parade,” which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
