Apparent murder-suicide in Sun City leaves 2 dead, 1 injured

PHOENIX — Two people are dead and another is injured after what authorities believe was a murder-suicide in Sun City, authorities said.

Deputies with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for service in the area of 99th Avenue and Bell Road at 11:07 p.m.

They found three people who had been shot, one of whom was alive, MCSO said.

Details about apparent murder-suicide in Sun City

A man with life-threatening injuries was brought to a nearby hospital.

Additionally, a person with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound and a woman were found dead.

“At this time in the investigation given preliminary findings, MCSO homicide is investigating this as a murder suicide,” Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez said in a media advisory.
