Multivehicle crash shuts down I-10 near Queen Creek Road for hours

PHOENIX – A multivehicle injury wreck closed part of Interstate 10 near Chandler for hours Thursday morning, authorities said.

Eastbound lanes at Queen Creek Road were shut down from about 3:30 a.m. until shortly before 9:40 a.m.

Freeway cameras showed damaged semitrucks and passenger cars lined up on the side of the road.

Injuries were minor, DPS said.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said drivers were being directed to exit the road at Wild Horse Pass.
