Motorcyclist injured after Glendale crash; driver arrested for DUI after interrupting investigation

A Glendale crash on Monday night left a motorcycle rider injured, and during the investigation, a man was arrested for DUI, police said.

A motorcycle rider was critically injured after losing control of her vehicle and crashing on Monday night, according to the Glendale Police Department.

The single-vehicle collision took place in the area of Dysart Road and Northern Parkway around 10 p.m.

The woman, whose name was not made public, was set to undergo surgery Tuesday morning, police said.

She was traveling north on Dysart Road when she crashed, he added.

An arrest was made for an unrelated incident while the incident was under investigation.

“A vehicle drove through the scene, nearly wrecking with police vehicles and detectives on scene,” Officer Joseph Merced told KTAR News 92.3 FM in an email. “The adult male driver was ultimately arrested for DUI.”

Police identified the DUI suspect as 30-year-old Bryson Tyler Ray.

After an hourslong closure, Dysart Road reopened around 3 a.m.
