PHOENIX – A man allegedly had sexual contact with cadavers after breaking into the county morgue in downtown Phoenix early Wednesday, authorities said.
Deputies were dispatched to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office just after 1:30 a.m. in response to a 911 call about a burglary, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
When they arrived, Maricopa County Security Services and the Phoenix Police Department were already working to secure the scene at Seventh Avenue and Jefferson Street.
Fenris Lu was located during a search of the building and taken into custody. Authorities did not reveal any details about the arrest, but the charges against Lu indicate he tried to get away after being apprehended.
Man booked on four necrophilia counts after Phoenix morgue arrest
Court records for the case have been sealed. However, jail records and a release order show that Lu was booked on four counts of necrophilia and one count each of burglary, possessing burglary tools, criminal damage and attempting to escape from custody.
All eight counts are felonies. Lu’s bond was set at $500,000.
The statute cited for the necrophilia allegations reads as follows:
Having sexual contact with a dead human body, other than the contact normally required to store, prepare, disinfect or embalm a dead human body according to standards of practice in the funeral industry.
The investigation is ongoing.
“Out of respect for those potentially impacted and to protect the integrity of the investigation, no additional details are being released at this time,” MCSO spokesman Dave Moyer said in a statement emailed to KTAR News 92.3 FM.

One thing no lie
Ethyl's frigid as an eskimo pie
She's cool in bed
Well she oughta be 'cause Ethyl's dead
(Apologies to Alice Cooper)
(I came here for the jokes on this one and was not disappointed)
I guess he just had the urge to crack open a cold one.
I hope they were over 18 because that would be wrong...
