PHOENIX – Those high-flying, big-tired behemoths are rumbling into the Valley this fall.

Tickets for the Monster Jam souped-up, tricked-out truck extravaganza at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Oct. 5, which start at $15, went on sale this week.

The stadium’s surface will be covered with a dirt track for racing and freestyle competitions.

Fans aren’t just spectators at Monster Jam events. They get to vote on their smartphones for the winners in the donut, wheelie and freestyle competitions.

The event’s lineup includes appearances by iconic machines Grave Digger and Max-D as well as the Phoenix-area debut of the Bakugan Dragonoid truck.

The competition, which begins at 7 p.m., will be preceded by a pit party from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The preshow event, which requires a separate admission, gives fans a chance to view the trucks up close and meet drivers for photos and autographs.
