Woman hospitalized for smoke inhalation, burns after north Phoenix mobile home fire

PHOENIX – A woman was hospitalized in serious condition after a mobile home fire in north Phoenix on Tuesday night, authorities said.

Crews responded to the scene near 26th Street and Beardsley Road just after 8:30 p.m., according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

They encountered a large mobile home engulfed in smoke and flames.

A woman who escaped from the home before crews arrived suffered smoke inhalation and burns. She was taken to a burn center by ambulance.

No other injuries were reported.

Crews quickly gained control of the fire and extinguished it.

The city’s Community Assistance Program responded to the scene to provide support for the burn victim’s family.

The cause of the mobile home fire is under investigation.
