Missing Goodyear man found safe; Silver Alert canceled

PHOENIX – A Silver Alert was issued early Tuesday was canceled after a Goodyear man who has a life-threatening medical condition was found safe.

Authorities said Joe Mack McKown, 86, was last seen around 1 p.m. Monday at home at Amazing Care Assisted Living, near Sarival Avenue and Interstate 10. He left the facility without his medication, police said.

McKown had last been seen wearing a blue shirt, sweat pants, white tennis shoes and a gray cap.

He has access to a 2016 four-door Hyundai Elantra that bears Arizona license plate number B697140.

The alert was canceled around 9:30 a.m.
