PHOENIX – A missing Flagstaff woman was found dead on Tuesday, over a week after she was last seen, authorities said.

Eriko Starley, 60, was reported missing by her husband on July 27, according to the Flagstaff Police Department.

On Monday, police received an anonymous tip about possible human remains found along a trail near the Cheshire neighborhood, where Starley lived.

Officers couldn’t find any remains that night due to limited visibility. Police and a search team from the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office returned to the area the next morning and found a woman’s body.

The Coconino County Medical Examiner’s confirmed it was the missing Flagstaff woman’s remains.

The investigation is ongoing, but police said there was indication that foul play was involved in Starley’s death.
