2 minors, 3 adults injured after early-morning shooting in west Phoenix

PHOENIX — Five individuals, two being minors, were injured in an early Saturday morning shooting in west Phoenix, according to authorities.

Officers responded around 1:15 a.m. to multiple calls that gunshots had been fired near the area of 96th Avenue and Cordes Road in Tolleson, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Each person’s injuries were classified by police as “non-life-threatening” and they were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police said detectives have taken over the investigation.

No information on a possible suspect was released at this time.
