2 men dead after shooting at one another in Mesa, police say
Two 37-year-old men died in a Mesa shooting that took place shortly before midnight on Tuesday, according to police.

PHOENIX — Two men have died after a Mesa shooting on Tuesday night, authorities said.
Officers with the Mesa Police Department responded to the area of Gilbert and Broadway roads shortly before midnight.
They found Scott McCracken and Norberto Ruiz, both 37, lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds, police said.
The men were brought to a hospital where they later died.
What led up to Mesa shooting?
Investigators later found that the shooting began when McCracken fired a gun at Ruiz, police said. Ruiz then allegedly returned fire.
Detectives aren’t sure what the relationship between the two men was.
However, Mesa police said investigators don’t believe this was a random shooting.
No other suspects were involved in the shooting, police said.
