Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office investigating after body found in Buckeye

PHOENIX — Officials with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said a body was found on the side of the road in Buckeye on Monday.

Sgt. Bryant Vanegas, a spokesman with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, told KTAR News 92.3 FM that the body was found near State Route 85 and Hazen Road.

Vanegas said the information is limited due to the early stages of the investigation. The identity of the body was not immediately known.
