Man found dead in Phoenix in suspected hit-and-run crash

Police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that left a man dead near the intersection of 19th and Glendale avenues.

PHOENIX — Police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that left a man dead near the intersection of 19th and Glendale avenues on Saturday morning.

It is believed 26-year-old Ryan Rapanot was lying down in the roadway when he was stuck by a vehicle at around 12:30 a.m., according to police.

Fire department officials pronounced Rapanot dead on the scene shortly after arriving.

Police said the vehicle did not stop after running over the victim and was gone by the time police arrived.
