44-year-old man dead following shooting in west Phoenix
Police are investigating a shooting that left a 44-year-old man dead in west Phoenix on Friday night, authorities said.

PHOENIX — Police are investigating a shooting that left a 44-year-old man dead in west Phoenix on Friday night, authorities said.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to the area of 27th Avenue and Hazelwood Street for reports of shots fired around 11 p.m.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Steven Stone Jr. suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Stone was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
