Police identify suspect in west Phoenix roadway murder

PHOENIX — Police identified the suspect in a west Phoenix roadway murder on Tuesday, authorities said.

Pablo Terrazas initially fled from Maryvale officers but was later taken into custody, according to the Phoenix Police Department. The 39-year-old suspect was taken to police headquarters for questioning and later booked for murder and resisting arrest.

He was arrested on probable cause after police identified several witnesses and reviewed surveillance footage.

Details of deadly west Phoenix roadway shooting

Bryan Desjone Richmond, 27, was found dead, lying in a roadway in west Phoenix on Oct. 4, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Officers responded to the area of 37th Drive and McDowell Road for reports of an injured person around 2:26 a.m.

Police said that when officers arrived on scene, they found Richmond north of the intersection and suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The Phoenix Fire Department pronounced Richmond dead on scene.

Detectives reportedly processed the scene and canvassed the area for any potential evidence, which led them to identify Terrazas as a suspect and take him into custody.
