A man has died after a shooting involving officers from the Phoenix Police Department on Saturday, authorities said.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to a call around 12:45 p.m. regarding a man holding a firearm and knife at an apartment complex near Central Avenue and Roeser Road.
Upon arrival, officers entered the apartment complex where the man was exiting an apartment and was still holding the weapons. After refusing commands to drop the weapons, officers deployed “less-lethal PepperBall munitions,” police said.
After further ignoring commands to drop the weapons, the man raised his firearm toward the officers, and shots were then fired.
Officers then provided medical aid to the man. He was taken to a hospital by the Phoenix Fire Department, where he later died.
No officers were injured in the shooting.
The Department of Safety’s Major Incident Division will lead the investigation into the incident.

Why do Darwin candidates refuse to listen to law enforcement officers?? Then point a gun at the officers..suicide by law enforcement?
Glad no law enforcement were harmed, and maybe other Darwin candidates can learn from this incident.
