Man taken into custody after barricading inside south Phoenix home following shooting
Police were reportedly able to take the man into custody not long after he broke into and barricaded himself inside the home.

A man was reportedly taken into custody Wednesday evening after barricading himself inside a home in south Phoenix.
Officers were called to a residence near 27th Avenue and Baseline Road and tried contact the man, who initially refused to cooperate with authorities, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
However, ABC15 reported that police were able to take the man into custody not long after.
Preliminary information indicated the man was involved in an earlier shooting, which did not involve officers but another suspect.
The TV news station said the man broke into the home, but the homeowner was able to escape uninjured.
Authorities noted the other suspect is still outstanding.
