Main Street Minute: Chandler Police accepting applications

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• Empereon-Constar is partnering with Phoenix for a job fair on Thursday. There are 200 openings for customer service, customer care, tech support and back-office support positions. The fair runs from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. near 29th Avenue and Bell Road. Employers will be hiring on the spot so applicants should bring a resume and dress appropriately.

• Chandler’s police department is accepting applications for cadet and lateral officer positions. Recruitment begins Monday. Starting salary is around $53,000.

• A groundbreaking ceremony took place Thursday for the newest local residential community, in Phoenix’s Arcadia neighborhood. Empire is building nearly four dozen semi-custom homes at the Villas at Baker Park near 40th Street and Osborn Road.
