Main Street Minute: Arizona business bank donates to college scholarship fund

• Tortilla Fish has opened its second Valley location Friday in Phoenix’s Arcadia neighborhood. Doors open at 10 a.m. near 44th Street and Thomas Road. To celebrate the expansion, anyone who shows up Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. will get two free tacos and a beverage.

• Alliance Bank of Arizona has made a $100,000 scholarship donation to nonprofit College Success Arizona. The scholarships will benefit 20 students from across the state over a two-year period starting in the spring.

• A West Valley police department needs toys and wrapping paper for its upcoming toy drive. Surprise police are still looking for new unwrapped toys or wrapping paper for the less fortunate kids in the community. The deadline to drop off the items is Monday. There are several drop-off locations listed on the city website.
