Loop 101, US 60 and Interstate 17 closures to hinder Valley drivers this weekend

PHOENIX — Closures of Loop 101, U.S. 60 and Interstate 17 are among the restrictions drivers will face on Valley freeways this weekend.
In the northeast Valley, the westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between Pima Road/Princess Drive and Tatum Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for permanent lane striping, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Northbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Cactus Road, Raintree Drive and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will also be closed as part of the project, while no left turns will be allowed on the eastbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Tatum Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday.
In Tempe, the eastbound U.S. 60 Superstition Freeway is scheduled to be closed in areas between I-10 and the Loop 101 Price Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for pavement work, along with the I-10 on-ramps at SR 143 and Broadway Road.

Pavement work will also close the westbound portion of the U.S. 60 between Loop 101 and I-10 from 10 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Saturday, as well as the westbound U.S. 60 on-ramps at Country Club Drive, Alma School Road and Dobson Road.
Westbound Interstate 10 will be narrowed to two lanes between the U.S. 60 Superstition Freeway and Broadway Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 11 a.m. Saturday for pavement inventory ahead of construction, followed by the eastbound portion of the highway being restricted to two lanes between 48th Street and Baseline Road from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday.

Near Sky Harbor Airport, northbound I-17 will be closed between the I-10 Split interchange and Seventh Avenue from 2 a.m to 10 p.m. Saturday as part of a replacement bridge project at Central Avenue. The project will also force the closure of Central Avenue in both directions at I-17 from 5 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Northwest of Sky Harbor, the State Route 143 Hohokam Expressway will be closed in both directions between Washington Street and McDowell Road from 10 p.m. Saturday to 5 p.m. Sunday for pavement sealing.
The eastbound Loop 202 ramp to northbound SR 143 will also be closed as part of the project, while ramps from northbound SR 143 to Loop 202 will remain open.
In Buckeye, westbound Interstate 10 will be narrowed to one lane between Watson Road and State Route 85 from 10 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday for a widening project.
In the North Valley, drivers should also be aware of a closure of Thunderbird Road in both directions at I-17 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for storm drain construction.
The project will also close the I-17 off-ramps at Thunderbird Road and the northbound I-17 on-ramp from westbound Thunderbird Road.
