Loop 101 in north Phoenix only Valley freeway closure this weekend
The only freeway closure for Valley drivers this weekend is a portion of the Loop 101 in the north Phoenix, ADOT announced Thursday.

PHOENIX — The only freeway closure for Valley drivers this weekend is a portion of the Loop 101 in the north Phoenix, the Arizona Department of Transportation announced Thursday.
The eastbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between Interstate 17 and Seventh Street from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday as pavement diamond grinding for a widening project continues.
North and southbound I-17 ramps to eastbound Loop 101 as well as the eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 27th Avenue will be closed. The eastbound Loop 101 ramps to I-17 in both directions will remain open.
Valley drivers will also have to watch out for a couple of ramp closures at varying times this weekend.
This weekend, L-101 EB (Pima) will be closed between I-17 and 7th St as part of the ongoing widening project. The North and southbound I-17 off-ramps at Happy Valley Road in north Phoenix will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for traffic signal work, in addition to the right lanes of Happy Valley Road near I-17. The northbound I-17 frontage road at Charlotte Drive will be restricted to local traffic only.
The Westbound State Route 24 Gateway Freeway on-ramp at Ellsworth Road leading to Loop 202 Santan Freeway in east Mesa will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a dirt hauling operation.
