Loop 101 closure the only major restriction on Valley freeways this weekend

PHOENIX — Valley freeways will be mostly clear of scheduled restrictions this weekend outside of a closure of Loop 101 in north Phoenix.
The westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between State Route 51 and Cave Creek Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The northbound State Route 51 ramp to westbound Loop 101 as well as the westbound Loop 101 on-ramps at 64th and 56th streets and Tatum Boulevard will also be closed as part of the project.

In Buckeye, Interstate 10 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions in areas between Verrado Way and State Route 85 from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday, 9 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday and from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.
Valley drivers should also be aware of a closure of eastbound Thunderbird Road at Interstate 17 until 5 a.m. Monday for storm drain construction.
