Letting him down easy: Valley rescuers get injured man out of tree

Rescuers rose to the occasion in Paradise Valley on Friday afternoon when an injured worker couldn’t get down from a tree on his own.

PHOENIX – What goes up must come down, even when a little help is necessary.

Rescuers rose to the occasion Friday afternoon when an injured worker couldn’t get down from a tree on his own.

The man hurt his shoulder while he was around 20 feet off the ground in a tree near Lincoln Drive and Invergordon Road in Paradise Valley, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

He wasn’t trapped, but he was unable to get down by the usual means.

Rescue crews used a ladder truck to reach the man and bring him to safety.

He had no complaints afterword other than his initial injury.
