PHOENIX — If you are planning on driving to the West Valley over the weekend, make sure to plan accordingly.

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced that there would be at least two restrictions along Interstate 10 over the weekend.

In addition, crews will be working along the Loop 101.

Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time when travelling and consider using detours were available. Here are the restrictions that will impact Valley freeways in the coming days:

•  I-10 eastbound will be narrowed to one lane between 79th and 75th avenues from 9 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Sunday so crews can work work on the Loop 202 interchange. In addition, the eastbound I-10 on-ramp will be closed at 83rd Avenue as well as the off-ramp at 75th Avenue. Drivers should be prepared to slow down and merge safely when entering the work zone.

• Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane at 59th Avenue from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday for work on the Loop 202 interchange. Drivers should consider alternate routes such as the Loop 101.

•  The Loop 101 southbound on-ramp at Peoria Avenue will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Sunday for pavement improvements. Expected traffic should consider nearby southbound on-ramps, like the Thunderbird Avenue or Olive Avenue on-ramps.

All restrictions on Arizona highways are posted on ADOT’s website.
