Body of missing man found during overnight search at Lake Pleasant

A man who went missing at Lake Pleasant on Monday evening was found dead during an overnight search, authorities said.

The body of 20-year-old Isamai Hein was located around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to Lake Pleasant on Monday after receiving a call around 6:40 p.m. regarding the man who had not been seen for about 10 minutes after the inflatable tube he was floating on popped.

The popped tube was found on the shore of the northwest Valley lake.

Several hours later, deputies using a remote operated vehicle found Hein’s body in the area where he went missing, authorities said.

Witnesses said he was not wearing a life vest while using the tube.
