Kura Revolving Sushi Bar opening first Arizona location in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A revolving, tech interactive sushi bar concept is opening its first Arizona location in Phoenix this week.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is set to debut at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Camelback Road and 20th Street in the Camelback Colonnade Shops.

Regular business hours will start Thursday at 11 a.m.

Guests can pick items from a revolving conveyer belt or order from the menu via touch screen.

When finished, the dish is inserted into a slot at the table where it will be counted and displayed on a nearby screen.

The menu ranges from a variety of rolls to ramen and tempura, and also includes seasonal dishes.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar has plans to open a second Arizona location at the Chandler Ranch Shopping Center. No opening date has been announced.

The company, which started in Japan, has locations in more than 10 states, with U.S. operations based in California.
