Kamala Harris speaks virtually with Arizona Latino business group

PHOENIX — Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris spoke with local Latino business owners on Saturday during a virtual event hosted by Biden for President Arizona.

Harris laid out campaign endorsements from Arizona political figures on both sides of the aisle in an attempt to convince voters in the state to vote for a Democratic president for just the second time since 1952.

“We are assembling the kind of team that we need to bring Arizona home this fall,” Harris said.

Harris noted endorsements from U.S Representatives Greg Stanton and Ruben Gallego, Tucson Mayor Regina Romero and notable Republicans Jeff Flake and Grant Woods.

She also appealed to the group of Latino business owners saying that they speak for their communities.

“You have served and employed families across generations,” Harris said.

“We know that you are the backbone of this state.”

Harris said that the plan for Biden for President Arizona was to ensure President Donald Trump would just be a one-term president.

“Arizonans deserve a President of the United States who will put you first,” Harris said.
