John McCain’s surgery on blood clot delays health care vote

PHOENIX — Arizona Sen. John McCain underwent a procedure to remove a blood cot above his left eye that will delay the health care vote.
According to a report from CNN, the vote will not happen until McCain is back.

Mitch McConnell had planned action on the controversial bill next week but McCain announced Saturday he would be staying in Arizona following surgery. That put the measure in jeopardy in the closely divided Senate.
McCain’s clot was successfully removed by surgeons at Mayo Clinic on Friday.

The release detailed information regarding McCain’s status and how the surgery went.
The Senator is resting comfortably at home and is in good condition. His Mayo Clinic doctors report that the surgery went ‘very well’ and he is in good spirits. Once the pathology information is available, further care will be discussed between doctors and the family.
A statement from his office notes that McCain will be recovering in Arizona next week.
Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake released a statement on McCain.
I have never known a man more tenacious and resilient than John McCain. I look forward to seeing him back at work soon. In the meantime, Cheryl and I extend our best wishes to John, Cindy and the entire McCain family and pray for his speedy recovery.

We all just want the same kind of health care coverage as John McCain has when he is in the hospital/doctors office !!
He has a job, with health benefits. Just like many people that work, their health benefits are part of their employment package.
However, the senate's healthcare is a Cadillac plan as compared to most working stiffs.
I've always wondered if those making the rules (congress) had to use the healthcare they proposed for America, if it would be better and cater to the people instead of the insurance industry.
Doctors were attempting to remove the RINO horn which was sprouting from the center of McCain's forehead. ;-)
